Everyone is welcome at all of the churches in the parish.
- What is worship like?
- Worship at all of the churches is full of liturgy and singing. Our time of worship is centered around encountering God in community through the Word that is spoken, sung, and proclaimed.
- We celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion on the 1st & 3rd Sundays of the month.
- Our two pastors have a preaching rotation, which enables each church to seem them both twice a month.
- Who can receive Holy Communion?
- The table of our Lord is open to everyone. You do not have to be a member of any church to receive the sacrament of holy communion.
- We receive the sacrament by coming to the front of the church (as you are able) and dipping the bread into a common cup.
- What door should I use on Sunday morning?
- Allerton UMC- you may use the eastside door at the top of the steps or the westside door which has a ramp. Both lead into small entryways that bring you directly into the sanctuary.
- Corydon UMC- there are a variety of doors into the facility which lead you into hallways that bring you to the sanctuary entrance. The outside entrace closest to the sanctuary are the double doors on the south side of the building. (Only the west door has stairs.)
- Lineville UMC- you may use the southwest door at the tope of the steps or the south door which has a ramp. Both doors lead directly into the sanctuary.
- Millerton UMC-you will use the east door to enter the building, it brings you into an entryway just outside the sanctuary entrance.
- New Zion UMC- you can use the east door which brings to a set of stairs that go right up to the sanctuary or the west door which has a ramp inside that bring you to the sanctuary.
- What do I wear?
- We are informal in dress. You will see people in dress clothes, work clothes, and casual clothes.
- How can I get involved?
- There are lots of ways to be involved in the life of the church and parish. Each week the bulletin insert, email communication, and Facebook page list the upcoming activities. If you would like more information before joining a group or participating in an activity, you can always call the parish office or speak to one of the pastors.
